Artist Statement

trait(Noun)-a distinguishing feature of your personal nature

 

attribute-an abstraction belonging to or characteristic of an entity

 

personality-the complex of all the attributes like behavioral, temperamental, emotional and mental that characterize a unique individual; "their different reactions reflected their very different personalities."

 

I decided to call this project "Traits" because there is more to a person than just a simple photograph. We percieve people differently and that is because we barely know who they are and judge them from the outside by the way they act or dress or from what we hear from other people. I am the type of person that likes to know people more and have a better understanding who they are and to be able to photograph these individuals and the trust they have entrusted on me made me also understand myself as a person as well.
